From being able to see bakers kneading dough and baking bread at 11:00pm to walking in to hear the employee say, “You want your regular?”, Silver Moon has truly helped create a sense of community. Judith, the owner and baker, describes, “It’s a neighborhood center. On 9/11 it was jammed packed because people wanted to be with each other and their community.”

What kind of cuisine is featured?
They sell all sorts of pastries from “super fancy [tiramisus] to just down to earth [chocolate chip cookies]”!
Espresso beverages, soups, salads, sandwiches, bread (baguettes, sourdough, etc.), pastries (tarts, cakes, cookies, macarons, etc.) In the summer, they also sell homemade ice cream and fruit smoothies.

What makes Silver Moon Bakery special?
Local bakery: as the first artisan and local bakery in the neighborhood, Silver Moon knows its customers and its neighborhood.
High-quality flour: Judith uses a variety of flour for specific pastries and bread to maintain fresh and high-quality products.
Experimentation: Silver Moon loves to experiment. If you want a certain pastry/bread, just ask! They make everything the customers request.
Outdoor seating: while Silver Moon is a bakery, so there are no indoor seating. There are a few tables and chairs outside which are occupied even in the winter!

Cake: Pure Decadence Cake (chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate!), Opera Cake
Bread: French baguettes, Sourdough
Sandwich: mozzarella pesto baguette, Smoked mozzarella on samorena
Pastries: morning glory muffins, chocolate chip cookie
Cheesy dog biscuits (for both dogs and humans!)
